How to start using your Trilonium Cast-Iron / Carbon Steel Cookware ?

Your Trilonium cookware is already Triple-Seasoned with natural oils. You do not need to season it all over again. All you have to do is, maintain the seasoning. Below are the steps on how to go about it.

TilCrust‚ĄĘ

All our Cast-Iron / Carbon Steel cookware is seasoned with natural cold-pressed EDIBLE VEGETABLE oils. It acts like a naturally nonstick coating.

The seaoning needs to be maintained as per our instruction manual so that your pan remains nonstick.

the seasoning oil that we use in our cookware is a proprietory mixture of natural cold-pressed vegetable oils baked onto the surface of our cookware at a specific temperature for a specific time. We call it¬†TILCRUST‚ĄĘ.

TILCRUST‚ĄĘ requires a bit of easy maintainance.

Quick wash with a mild soap and pat dry.

Use a regular dishwashing soap. Scrub the surface of the pan gently.

Do not use a metal scrubber.

Do not use wash in a dishwashing machine.

Saute, finely chopped onions along with cooking oil.

Coat the entire surface of the pan with cooking oil Using a tissue or a lint free kitchen towel.

Place your pan on your burner on your burner for 1-2 mins on medium flame.

Saute, finely chopped onions along with 2-3 tb. spoons of cooking oil in your Trilonium pan for 10-12 mins on a high flame until The onions Blacken.

Allow the pan to cool down for 30 mins.

After step 2. Allow the pan to rest for 30 mins. on your stovetop along with the blackened onions.

Remove the blackened onions.

Remove the burnt onions.

Do not wash your pan yet.

Hurray !!! Now your pan Is ready to use.

  • 1. Drying the pan.

    Use a mild dishwashing soap to wash your pan and then pat it until fully dry. Use a dry cloth. Ensure there are no droplets of water on the surface of the pan.

  • 2. Coat with cooking oil.

    Place the pan on your stovetop and heat it up again to get rid of water droplets and moisture. Then, apply a coat of oil all over its surface.

  • 3. Storing the pan.

    Ensure that your Trilonium pan is completely dry.

    Always store in a dry kitchen shelf.
